Trev Ponting could be back in New Zealand by Thursday, after MIQ reversed a decision which would have left the dying Kiwi stranded overseas.
Japan-based Ponting has terminal brain cancer, and all he wants is to get home to see his mother. But an initial application for emergency spots in managed isolation for the 46-year-old, his wife Aiko and their two young children was turned down yesterday.

January 28, 2021MEREDITH With an unusual preseason that didn t allow for scrimmages, there was bound to be a little rust to knock off when the Inter-Lakes hoop girls welcomed Winnisquam to Meredith on Wednesday, Jan. 20, to kick off the new season.
Both teams struggled at times to find the bottom of the net, but they worked through it and eventually played a back and forth game for a small group of spectators.
